Northstar is a UL Certified NEMA Type 1 fabrication facility. Northstar’s UL certification is for enclosures 28″ x 28″ x 8″ and smaller. Northstar’s engineers can provide a quick turnaround on any request and produce them in a timely fashion. Our team has countless years of experience producing enclosures of all shapes and sizes and can utilize this knowledge to enhance any project. Northstar’s Type 1 boxes can be coupled with our UL 1332 paint line and UL cable and harness capabilities to provide a unique solution for you or your client. As always, custom requirement requests are encouraged and accepted.

The unique design of Northstar’s NEMA Type 1 enclosure allows the user maximum versatility and dependability for a multitude of Type 1 applications. NEMA Type 1 enclosures are constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection against access to hazardous parts and a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against the admission of solid foreign objects such as dirt.
