The Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) is an open-source communication standard for EV charging stations and network software companies. Charging station technology allows for any OCPP-compliant EV charging station to operate any OCPP-compliant software. The UL 2202 Standard covers on-board battery chargers while UL 2594 is the standard testing for electric vehicle charging stations.
